Speed is Idaho's headline: the statute prices an expedited lane measured in working hours, and the record confirms that lane covers forming an LLC. The office separately posts how far behind its current queue runs, dated as an observation. Yearly paperwork barely registers, with neither a report fee nor a due date on the books, each a checked absence.
An assumed business name here is filed once and then simply lives: no renewal cycle, no expiry, cancellation only when the owner asks for it. What the certificate does is disclose who trades under the name, and it stops there, conferring nothing like a trademark. Recurring state tax obligations end the same way, marked absent against the statute.

Idaho calls it the assumed business name, and keeps one statewide register for it. The state filing costs $25.
Perpetual (no expiration)
An assumed business name is in effect from filing until the owner cancels it under Idaho Code § 30-21-809; there is no renewal.
not required
no exclusive right
An assumed business name discloses the name a business trades under and grants no exclusive trademark right. It does carry a practical effect: Idaho requires an assumed business name to be distinguishable on the Secretary of State's records, so an active ABN blocks a later entity or ABN that is not distinguishable from it while it stays on file.
Assumed business names appear in the Secretary of State's SOSBiz business search alongside entities, since they share the same distinguishability records. Idaho keeps DBAs at the state level, so there is no separate county index to check.

Every figure on this sheet renders from the pinned dataset snapshot, and each card links the page its own figure came from. This list collects those pages in one place, with the duplicates removed and the agency named.
The rule behind every figure here, and what a card does when one cannot be verified, sits on how a figure gets verified.
