Michigan runs its LLC filings through the licensing agency, LARA, and collects an annual statement due in the middle of February. The register carries no recurring entity tax, an absence verified against the state. What the office never publishes is a standard processing time, and the sheet records that gap instead of guessing one.
Expedited review is the distinctive purchase: the fee schedule sells lanes labelled by the hour as well as by the day, each priced per document. The assumed name files with the same agency and runs to a fixed year-end expiry rather than a formation anniversary. The company may act as its own agent, and an individual agent must be a resident whose office matches the registered office.

Michigan calls it the assumed name, and splits the filing: an LLC registers with the state, while other business forms file locally. The state filing costs $25.
Through December 31 of the fifth full calendar year after filing
An LLC's assumed name expires on December 31 of the fifth full calendar year following the year it was filed, and may be extended for further consecutive five-year periods by filing a renewal certificate no earlier than 90 days before expiration. LARA must notify the company of the impending expiration at least 90 days out (MCL 450.4206(2), (3)).
not required
no exclusive right
An assumed name lets a company trade under a different name; it is disclosure, and although it is part of the LARA name screen, it is not a trademark and grants no exclusive market right. MCL 450.4206(4) says so directly, and (5) goes further: two or more companies operating together in a partnership or joint venture may each file the same assumed name, so a Michigan assumed name is not even exclusive on the register.

Who may serve as an LLC's registered agent is its own rule in Michigan. Michigan lets a natural person serve, so no commercial agent is required. The LLC itself may also hold the seat.

Every figure on this sheet renders from the pinned dataset snapshot, and each card links the page its own figure came from. This list collects those pages in one place, with the duplicates removed and the agency named.
The rule behind every figure here, and what a card does when one cannot be verified, sits on how a figure gets verified.
